Primazons and Primazonia are a people and world through which I explore, express, and find my query into the complicated and even contradictory qualities that I perceive as making up human (female) animal relationships, the spasmodic expressions of nature and nurture, dominance, play, destruction and connectivity. I am driven, too, by the feeling that if we do not address the ape-animal that is a part of who we are, we will not be able to heal many of the destructive and unhealthful forms of human relationships and cultural relationships. I strive to make drawn narratives that are not yet determined moments, accessed through tension and beauty to draw the viewer/reader into complicity with Primazonia.In her creations—the beings, the Primazons—the artist brings together her interests in nature & nurture, comics, anime, book/arts, anthropology, design, scifi, fantasy, dream, and intergenerational relationships.
