Type One launched with a series of shorts that had screened in over 100 festivals including TIFF, Austin, Encounters, Sitges, Fantasia, Toronto After Dark, Pifan and have participated in Telefilm's prestigious 'Not Short on Talent' program with Kevan Funk's DESTROYER at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, Mark Ratzlaff's BEAUTY MARK (MPPIA Award Winner) and Scooter Corkle's POUR RETOURNER at Cannes Film Festival which also had its world premiere at Tribeca and was picked up by the CBC for broadcast. Our debut feature film, BLOODY KNUCKLES, from writer/director Matt O'Mahoney, had its world premiere at Fantasia Film Festival and continued its run at some of the most prominent genre film festivals including Morbido Fest, Ravenna Nightmare and Buenos Aires Rojo to name a few until it was picked up for a sprite theatrical and VOD run by Raven Banner Releasing and Artsploitation for USA. In the Winter of 2014, Daniel was brought on to Line Produce the western Canadian unit of Nadia Litz's, THE PEOPLE GARDEN, starring Dree Hemingway and Pamela Anderson. The film was produced by Scythia Film's Dan Bekerman (THE WITCH) & Coral Aiken. Daniel teamed up again with Scythia Films and Ireland based Octagon Films (VIKINGS) to Co-Produce Oscar-nominated Juanita Wilson's second feature TOMATO RED, starring Emmy winning Julia Garner (OZARK), Jake Weary (ANIMAL KINGDOM) and Golden Globe nominated Anna Friel (MARCELLA).Type One's latest feature, partnered with Telefilm Canada and Tabula Dada Productions, is Kevan Funk's debut HELLO DESTROYER, which premiered at TIFF and was nominated for 4 Canadian Screen Awards including Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Actor to Jared Abrahamson (TRAVELERS). TFCC nominated the film for Best Picture and VFCC honoured it with 4 awards, including Best Canadian Film. Film Corner said: "Canada itself has yielded a number of terrific pictures about its National Sport but none with the genuine force and power of Hello Destroyer."
