UC Ergonomics Research & Graduate Training Program links Berkeley, Davis and San Francisco providing occupational health related research, graduate training, continuing education and consulting.Through research, education and community outreach, we learn the mechanisms leading to Work Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMSDs), then identify and evaluate equipment designs and work practices that reduce the risk of WRMSDs and contribute to the health and wellbeing of workers, while optimizing their performance.The Program has research, graduate training, continuing education and consulting components. Research is conducted with faculty from multiple departments.The UC Ergonomics Program has a history of training formative leaders in the field with graduates and post docs becoming professors at top institutions, leaders at government agencies, and innovators at numerous Silicon Valley companies, such as Apple, Google, and others.The Program's laboratory is located at U.C. Berkeley's Global Campus (Richmond Field Station), a research station administered by the College of Engineering.
