Education Management - Cork, County Cork, Ireland
The UCC Mathematical Society was one of the first societies founded inUCC. As one of the oldest societies it has a long standing history of providing bothacademically and socially for the students studying mathematics across a range of courses. Our committee is made up of 12 undergraduate students, all of whom are studying Mathematical Sciences in UCC. We aim to give anyone with any interest in maths the opportunity to embracethis passion, whether it be by socialising with other likeminded people or by giving your ownlecture on a topic of choice. When it comes to organising events for the students of UCC, it is of outmost importance tous that we organise a diverse range of academic and social events. The society's missionstatement for the year is to create a community for those who share an interest inmathematics and to increase our profile on and off campus. Our most talked-about events include SIG Cup, Superbrain, 4 Years of Maths, The Boole Prize and of course the Maths and Physics Ball. This year we will be hosting the Irish Mathematics Students' Association (IMSA) conference in UCC. UCC Mathematical Society is kindly sponsored by Susquehanna International Group.
