UFS Dispensaries Ltd was established in Ballarat in 1880. We are a not-for-profit mutual organisation owned by our 48,000+ members and run by an elected Board of Directors. UFS Dispensaries currently owns and operates:• sixteen pharmacies in the western region of Victoria, encompassing Ballarat, Beaufort, Gisborne, Ballan, Bacchus Marsh and Melton• a Supercare Pharmacy operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in Ballarat• three medical centres• a day spa and well-being centre• a specialty gift store.UFS Dispensaries also operates three pharmacies in Coburg in Melbourne's inner-north, on behalf of another mutual organization, Friendly Pharmacy (Victoria) Ltd. The pharmacies operate as UFS Pharmacies.While the business must be economically sound, profit is not the major objective. We exist to provide benefits to our members.Any profits generated are reinvested in the business, and are used to improve services for our members, offer member discounts, invest in our people and support the local communities in which we operate, through our sponsorship and donations program.UFS currently employs over 440 full-time, part-time and casual staff and is known as an employer of choice.
