UGA® Miracle raises money and awareness for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. We are proud that the first $1M we raise will directly fund Rehab Services and all additional funds will support the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's. We are the largest entirely student-run organization at the University of Georgia, and one of the largest in the Southeast. As an organization, we host many events throughout the school year to engage our campus and community in our cause. These events help us spread the word about who we are and what we stand for as we raise money, recruit new members, and interact with our Miracle Families and hospitals. All of our events and fundraising lead up to Dance Marathon, our capstone event in February. Our participants and Miracle families come together for 24 hours of performances, dancing, and activities as we complete our last big fundraising push. At the end of the 24 hours, we celebrate our families as we reveal just how much money we raised that season. With Integrity, Excellence, Compassion, and Fun at the core of everything we do, UGA® Miracle strives:TO CHAMPION OUR FAMILIES: UGA® Miracle provides compassion, encouragement, and fun to our Miracle Families. Our family of over 3000 members offers support beyond their time in the hospital and through their recovery.TO SUPPORT OUR HOSPITAL: Our efforts provide support for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta both financially and personally. The money that we raise goes directly to the Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, allowing our hospitals to give hope and compassion to their patients and our families.TO ENGAGE OUR CAMPUS: We do everything in our power to create an inclusive and empowering community at the University of Georgia. Our family strives to create a meaningful experience for every member through genuine relationships and a powerful cause.
