Learn Robotics with our time travelling character Dr Victor Drone! Step by step he will you lead through the basic ideas behind programming and robotics the using the Lego Mindstorms EV3 robot as an exampleThe course provides instructional videos over 5 episodes and a workbook that will gently lead the learner through the world of robotics, demonstrating basic idea like loops, sensors and algorithms. Later in the course we cover concepts like program flow and decision switches, as well as some of the ethical concerns about robots and their development. Although it would be great if the learner has Lego Mindstorms EV3 to hand, this course can still be completed without any robot at all, or with any other robot kit of the learners choice. The course is designed to be accessed by any device that can access the internet.After each introductory video, the course material gives clear lesson plans and learning objectives that can be followed by anyone, as a teaching tool or in their own time.Once the learner finishes the course they will have a good grasp of the basic concepts and tools they need to understand robotics and the basics of programming. All participants will also receive a certificate of completion at the end.
