ULEAD English school was established in 2009 by an English professor and a government translator. As non-native speakers working with the English language every day and seeing the state of English language education and use in China, they saw that for effective teaching, a new approach was needed.ULEAD focuses on communicative English and positive student engagement. Our core program doesn't use traditional textbooks, instead each class is based on a story and uses language from that story to play games, sings songs, put on plays and create arts and crafts. With this multifaceted approach to teaching, children employ the new language in a variety of ways, which fosters a deeper comprehension than rote memorization or use of language in only one context.At ULEAD, we boast one native English speaking teacher and one Chinese teacher per class; each class is held entirely in English. Our classes are limited to a maximum of ten students, so that each can receive the one on one attention they need to ensure the best education possible.Our principle student base is children aged two to twelve. Outside of our core program, we offer myriad feature courses in theater, art, dance and a variety of other subjects, all in English, for students of all levels. ULEAD also has programs for older and higher level learners, guest lectures and workshops, holiday fairs and events and much, much more.
