The Life Sciences Graduate Research Council is a group of graduate student representatives from each of the life science graduate programs on campus: Food Science, Environmental Conservation, Kinesiology, Microbiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Neuroscience and Behavior, Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, Plant Biology, Psychology, Veterinary and Animal Science, Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering. Graduate students from non-life sciences departments, such as and Marine Science are also welcome to join us promote academic communication.We have been holding the Graduate Research Symposium every signal year since 2011 and our goals are providing a forum to address the unique concerns of life science graduate students, giving graduate students the opportunity to disseminate their research to the broader UMass community, improving communication across departments, promoting multi-program collaboration, and providing a chance for graduate students to learn and practice their presentation skills.Lunch and Refreshment will be served.
