Education Management - Amherst, Massachusetts, United States
The Undergraduate Economics Club (UEC) serves as an outlet for undergraduates to become more involved in the activities of the Department of Economics and the University. The UEC aims to foster relationships between undergraduates, faculty, and alumni through weekly meetings led by club governance and featuring guest speakers. The club offers undergraduates resources to help them academically, activities to meet and connect with faculty and alumni, and information and contacts to gain internships or employment after graduation. Faculty involvement with the club consists of building relationships with the students and getting feedback and perspective on the undergraduate program from students. The UEC also serves as a way for alumni to meet students, help them with the transition to the working world, foster a lasting relationship with the department, and build the next generation of advocates for the Department of Economics and the University. All students who have an interest in economics are welcomed and encouraged to join the UEC, regardless of major. If you are interested in joining the UEC as an undergrad at UMass, or are looking to connect with the Club and its members, email us at UmassUndergradEconClub@gmail.com, or use the Contact Us link above to reach out to us on our Facebook Page. And of course, make sure to follow this page for updates on the Department and Club!
