Un Dia de Cine (A Movie Day) is Social Entrepreneurship initiative lead by students. Our focus relies in the thousands of kids that only live by the present moment, and cannot foresee a stable and prosper future in Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela. Our venture consists on selecting the children from some of the most affected communities in our city: Public schools, foster homes, nutrition houses, indigenous communities, cultural facilities, health facilities and rural isolated areas. During the past two years Un Día de Cine has attended more than 1250 children, involved more than 1000 volunteers and worked with over 32 communities. We take them for the very first time in their lives to visit the University and to watch a movie inside a movie theater. For the kids and the volunteers it's a life changing experience that makes them see another reality to the one they know. Throughout the process the volunteer work on triggering the desire in the kids to see themselves out of poverty, as successful professionals. By being part of Un Día de Cine and enjoying this experience we start and inclusion opening process on where the boundaries between the volunteers, children and the community diminish themselves. In the end each volunteers becomes a better citizens, that no matter the project there in Un Día de Cine has open their hearts and their eyes on helping the most needed We want to continue growing, its in our future plans to expand our infrastructure deeper in to the communities upgrading it to new levels, and in a not so distant future expanding it to new cities and
