UNAFF celebrates the power of films dealing with human rights, the environment, refugees, famine, homelessness, racism, disease control, women's issues, children, universal education, war, and peace. UNAFF 2022 is in it's 25th year | runs October 20-30, 2022 | Screening locations: Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, San Francisco, Stanford University. The 2022 theme REFLECTIONS continues our enduring devotion to the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, emphasizing our 25th Anniversary milestone. In the past 24 years, UNAFF has screened 8 documentaries which won Academy Awards and another 32 which were nominated. UNAFF was founded in 1998 by Stanford educator and film critic Jasmina Bojic in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
