UNC Loreleis Details
The Loreleis are UNC-Chapel Hill's premier all-female a cappella group, proudly sponsored by the General Alumni Association. Named after the sirens who would swim the Rhine river and lead sailors to their deaths with their enchanting voices, the Loreleis have spent the last 35 years performing across the world.From winning the first ICCAs in 1996 to being awarded a total of 15 CARAs, excellence is a longstanding tradition. Our latest studio album, Where the Secret Lies, was given a 4.7/5 rating from RARB; one of its songs, Daddy Lessons, won the CARA award for Best Country Song.We perform both on and off campus, with recent noteworthy performances including opening for Jay Leno at Durham Performing Arts Center (twice) and singing holiday music at the White House in December of 2016.
