UNCW Black Student Union Details
In recognition of and pursuant to the highest aspirations of social and cultural heritage and awareness, the Black Student Union seeks to form unification within the African American community, other minority organizations and the rest of the college to promote a genuine multicultural environment on campus and to encourage the opportunities for interaction and communication between students, faculty, and staff of all cultures. The Black Student Union shall also support incoming students as they integrate into the campus environment and serve as a liaison with regional, state, and national organizations as well as community organizations. Along with the missions, we agree to promote peace, attempt to establish an understanding of the African American culture, and extend open arms to all students, faculty and staff of all backgrounds.
