UNDP Green Commodities Programme Details
The Green Commodities Programme is a global initiative working in 17 countries to improve the national, economic, social and environmental performance of agricultural commodity sectors, with a special focus on: cacao, palm oil, pineapple, coffee, cashmere, fishery, beef, soy, wheat and rice. Launched in 2010 by the UNDP, the Green Commodities Programme recognizes the importance of global agricultural commodities in achieving the SDGs, with a mission to: improve the lives of farmers and their communities while at the same time protecting high conservation value forest and important vulnerable ecosystems.
