At Unfamiliar China, we are no experts at anything. We started with a vision of bringing more information about China to the world, and we got to work. We started from history, culture, food, and drinks, yet we strive to be the ultimate encyclopedia of the most neutral and accurate information about China in all aspects. One of our main objectives is to paint a more realistic and objective picture of what MODERN Chinese culinary culture is like in China in different parts of the country. Food is more than just recipes to Chinese: each dish has its history and its unique story. They have significance in Chinese culture. At Unfamiliar China, you are not only following a simple recipe; you get a taste of China. We also introduce an array of topics in Chinese culture in depth. Our audiences are foodies, but also foodies who would like to experience and understand this country. Our goal is not to help people to survive in China day to day, but to understand this country at a high level and indeed integrate with the people there.
