Unico Gelato was born with the goal of exporting the Italian gelato tradition abroad. Unico can count on a 70-years experience in the gelato-making industry. Elena Manfroni, co-founder of Unico, develops her passion for the gelato thanks to her dad, the visionary founder of Carpigiani, which is today the international leader company in the market. Unico's recipes reflect the authenticity and quality of the Italian gelato, particularly the one from Bologna. In fact, these are created in collaboration with the historical brand, Cremeria Funivia Bologna. Just like the recipes, ingredients are Italian and are used to make fresh and quality gelatos to be purchased where they were produced. Thanks to the know-how of the leaders in the sector, a group of young people decides to take advantage of the potentiality of the brand and starts its expansion. After the launch of the first UK site, in Bromley in 2015, Unico opens in Notting Hill, Fulham, St John's Wood and Milan, in less than three years. In 2020, a new challenge awaits Unico, a new shop is ready to be opened in Lisbon! Stepping into Unico means coming home, our staff is capable of hosting the clients as a family and to deliver the real "Made in Italy" experience. Unico offers a variety of quintessentially Italian goods, including their signature gelato, coffee, pastries and cakes, as well as savoury snacks and hot food including organic filled paninis and focaccia. Unico also has a wide selection of vegan options in all areas, from gelato to cakes, sandwiches and hot food. In order to follow the brand vision, the team developed the idea of offering workshops to every gelato lover. The classes are held inside our shops and are an occasion for experiencing the real Italian traditions while having fun with friends, family and colleagues.
