Unicorn Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited (UEPNL) has come on stream to support the Federal Government of Nigeria's effort to liberalize the upstream sector and to build a true, global pan-African company. Fueled by a deliberate and purposeful policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Marginal Oil Field bid round, the homogenization of the oil and gas sector received massive boost from the divestment from larger oil acreage by international companies operating in Nigeria,leading to participation of local companies that have recently recorded major progress in the oil and gas sector.The rising volume of transactions in the oil and gas sector has caused indigenous Nigerian companies to seek deeper technological expertise and larger chunk of capital in local and international market.Fully conscious of this development, the promoters of UEPNL have resolved to create an indigenous company with world-class technological excellence, best capital allocation to project, and best-practice management. For this reason, UEPNL, under the guidance of our Chairman, Mr. Chima Ibeneche,has constituted a Board to take advantage of the current opportunities with the aim of expanding rapidly the potentials of the company within and beyond the borders of Nigeria.
