United For Equality In Sports & Entertainment (UESE) was founded in 2013 by David McFarland, Global Philanthropy Advisor and Former Chair and CEO of The Trevor Project. UESE is the nation's first and only organization dedicated solely to advancing and achieving equality in sports and entertainment for the LGBTQ community.UESE serves as a major catalyst for change, collaborating with key stakeholders and organizations in sport and entertainment to move from the passive notion of tolerance towards the active concept of acceptance to accelerate equality for all.UESE achieves its goals by developing and encouraging dialogue, collaboration and partnerships with national and international sports and entertainment organizations, the private sector, academia, the media and other key entities.UESE provides innovative and groundbreaking platforms, as well as, guidance and assistance to those who engage in harnessing the power of sport and entertainment as a force for equality.UESE will inspire, empower, educate and promote understanding to ensure that the opportunities and dreams are the same for all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
