United Way of Grande Prairie & Region Details
United Way of Grande Prairie and Region is part of the larger group of United Ways from around the world. We have been operating as an autonomous organization (as all United Ways are) in Grande Prairie since 1975. Our 2012 Fall Fundraising campaign raised over $1 million! We have 2 full time staff, and one contract position which looks after our campaign. in 2013, our organization gave just under $600,000 to human care agencies in our region -- a number we are very proud of. Most of our United Way funded partners receive little or no government funding, and having money they can count on and budget around means the world to them. And we could not do this without the love and support of many, many volunteers and donors.
