The Technological University of the Mixteca is a decentralized public body of the government of the state of Oaxaca, founded by decree of the state executive, which was published in the official newspaper, on June 18, 1990. Its creation responds to the multiple purpose of offer relevant and quality scientific and technological training opportunities to those who wish to pursue higher education, discourage the emigration of young Oaxacans, contribute to the development of projects that activate the economy and create employment, as well as open spaces of culture that extend the benefits of knowledge to the general population.
