We are a national consortium of large public research universities committed to improving outcomes for students across the socioeconomic spectrum through innovation, scale, and diffusion. Our institutions are some of the largest and most innovative universities when it comes to student success, and we believe in meaningful collaboration is an effective tool to spread proven ideas.Since its founding in 2014, the UIA campuses have increased their low-income degrees awarded, producing 90,000+ additional graduates to date. The Alliance has been featured in national outlets like 60 Minutes, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Fast Company, and has inspired the formation of 20 other university networks working to improve postsecondary success for low-income students.
