Ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the No. 1 pharmacy college in Florida, and in the top 5 nationally, the University of Florida College of Pharmacy excels at preparing graduates to practice in an evolving environment where the pharmacist is an interprofessional team member who collaborates to improve patient care. In addition, future pharmaceutical scientists receive training in one of the college's comprehensive graduate programs under the mentorship of award-winning graduate faculty. Established in 1923, the UF College of Pharmacy is the oldest college in the UF Health academic health center and has for nearly a century prepared graduates to be leaders in the pharmacy field. UF pharmacy graduates are recognized for their superior training and continue to be sought after for top employment positions, including pharmacy residency programs. In 2020, the UF College of Pharmacy led the nation with 145 graduates matching in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists residency match program. Faculty in the college are highly successful in securing awards to support cutting-edge research and more than $23 million in funding was obtained in 2019. Research activities in the UF College of Pharmacy span a broad range of areas, including drug discovery, pharmacogenomics and precision medicine, marine natural products, pharmacokinetics/pharmacometrics, systems pharmacology, pharmacoepidemiology and patient safety. The college is an integral part of UF Health, and its faculty are highly collaborative with others within UF's academic health center.The college is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, the national agency for the accreditation of professional degree programs in pharmacy and providers of continuing pharmacy education.
