The University of Florida Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (ICBR) is an on-campus expert resource for UF faculty, staff and students, as well as corporate entities, to conduct life science research. The UF ICBR was established in 1987 by the state of Florida and today operates eight life science research cores.We are experts in genetics/genomics, sequencing, bioinformatic analysis, proteomics, mass spectrometry, electron microscopy, and flow cytometry. The majority of ICBR laboratories are located in the UF Cancer & Genetics Research Complex. Additional facilities are located in the McKnight Brain Institute and the Microbiology & Cell Science building, both on the UF campus.Sample drop-off locations for Sanger sequencing and gene expression studies are available in Fifield Hall and the Health Science Center Fisher store.
