The University of Michigan Men's Glee Club is an all-male glee club (or choir). With roots tracing back to 1859, it is the second oldest collegiate choir in the United States and is the oldest student organization at the university. The Club has won the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod on four separate occasions, and was the first group from the United States to do so. The group now regularly performs at the American Choral Director's Association (ACDA) conferences and all over the United States and the world. Recent tours have visited China, Spain, Cuba, and South Africa.The Club is a student-run organization, which undertakes all management facilities, including all finances, public relations, alumni relations, community outreach, operations, and tour arrangements. Only the musical director is a member of the faculty. It accepts members from both undergraduates and graduates of the university, who are chosen by audition.Tradition, Camaraderie, and Musical Excellence
