The Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering (DIII) is one of the largest departments of the University of Pavia, with 70 professors and 200 researchers, including PhD students and research fellows. DIII has more than 30 research laboratories, covering a variety of topics including computer science, microelectronics, photonics, energy and power systems, automation, robotics, bioengineering and biomedical informatics. The Department participates in various competitive research projects at national and international level and represents an important center for technology transfer, collaborating with many national and international companies.
