Founded in 1858, the University of St Andrews Rugby Football Club is the 6th oldest rugby club in the world and a founding member of the SRU. Over the years, the club has produced no fewer than 22 international players, alongside 8 Barbarians representatives and 4 British and Irish Lions. Moreover, in the first international fixture between England and Scotland in 1871, St Andrews saw three club members take the field at Raeburn Place. The Club now boasts 6 XVs who compete throughout the UK and have grown into one of the most recognisable clubs throughout the SRU.
