The University Innovation Fellows is a program that originates from Stanford University's d.school that aims to create change agents in universities around the globe. Handpicked students go through extensive training on innovation and entrepreneurship facilitated by the d.school. After the training these students start creating impact on their universities and regions. The organization spans across the globe with more than 1,800 fellows from 256 universities. University of Twente, holding the title of most entrepreneurial university in the Netherlands, was the first European university to join this movement. Currently, the UIF UTwente has 13 active members and 6 alumni since 2016. The members created impact in both University of Twente and the Twente region following their drive for innovation. Recent success stories include the Keeping Talent In Twente project and hosting the first ever UIF European Meetup. For more information and ongoing projects of University of Twente Innovation Fellows:Universityinnovationfellows.nl
