The objective is to design a hybrid rocket system that will reduce the cost of launching CubeSat's into LEO (lower earth orbit). Currently, the launch of a CubeSat can cost's anywhere from 50 to 500 thousand dollars and does not allow for precision deployment, this is because the majority of CubeSat launches are considered secondary payloads too much larger and expensive satellites that hold precedence. The goal is to design and create a hybrid rocket system that is capable of launching a 1U CubeSat (a 10cm x 10cm x 10cm satellite weighing 1kg) to LEO at a fraction of the cost.
