upStart.LA is a 3-month mentor-driven technology startup accelerator & seed-stage funding program led by proven entrepreneurs and investors.• We want the best: upStart.LA only accepts 5-10 companies into each program. Getting in is hard, and it means something special.• Seed funding: upStart.LA fills the startup funding gap by providing just enough capital to get a founder's idea off the ground and to the next level. Each accepted company will receive $18,000 in seed funding.• Advice, Education and Mentoring: upStart.LA fills the experience gap by bringing together the best and the brightest in one place and surrounding them with incredible proven mentors for the 3-month program. With this much talent in one place companies will get great advice on product and strategy, thereby ensuring the best possible start for their new business.• A great co-founder: In exchange for the upStart.LA program, seed funding, advice, mentorship, connections, and investor day, upStart.LA receives a 6% equity stake in each company. upStart.LA receives "founders stock" which is common stock. We want to be thought of as an experienced and well connected co-founder so we have the same risk and reward system that each company does.
