Urban Conflict Championship is an up and coming professional fight series based in the NYC / North Jersey area. The idea for the fight series surfaced a few years ago in early 2008, to combine a love for the world of MMA with the old school, underground fight atmosphere that has been long associated with New York City boxing and fight culture. The series is set to kick off the 2010 season with UCC: 1 'MERCILESS' at the Jersey City Armory. For those of you who know anything about The Armory, you know that it has a rich prize-fight history from the 1970s, and with access to NYC via the Path Train, The Armory is a prime location to host UCC 1. This atmosphere combined with a knock-out fight card, anticipates 'MERCILESS' to bring a new face to the local professional MMA of the NYC / North Jersey area. UCC Fights was founded upon, and operates out of a genuine appreciation for the world of MMA and the fighters who participate in it. We look to bring a unique style of fighter promotions into this business, in order to help these professional athletes bring their skills to the next level. All the while, we hope that our success will also put pressure on the state of New York to legalize MMA, and stop delaying the inevitable.
