Waste/Recycling/Environmental - London, ENG, UK
Urban Eye was founded by Miles Watson and is a West London charity using art and design to help regenerate neglected inner-city spaces. Projects are carried out with local people; community groups, schools and youth projects and with councils and transport organisations. Mosaic and mural art projects are created on estates and neglected urban areas. Larger regeneration design works on bridges and under flyovers create livelier public spaces, increase local ownership and raise the profile of an area. Urban Eye was established 14 years ago and has completed 45 iconic projects in central London, ranging in scale from 5 - 3,000 sq/m, with project budgets ranging from £5 - £500k. Projects are delivered on time and within budget. The charity's work has won eight environmental awards and has proved popular with residents and the wider public.
