Urban Reforestation is a homegrown Melbourne business established to design places that transform the urban fabric. We are all about co-designing with communities to create sustainable infrastructure and related sustainability programs for each particular place. Urban Reforestation are a proud leader in the new wave of modern planning in Australia. It's a global approach with a focus on bottom-up design led innovation and organic development to insure that our cities are truly liveable in the future. We have worked both locally and internationally and have been inspired by many places around the world. Each place is a unique environment of urban structure with its own individual benefits and malfunctions. Some cities are designed for people by the people, whilst others adopt a "top-down" approach that disconnects the city's inhabitants from the urban fabric. "Top-down" design does not take into account everyday life at street level or consider human nature. Urban Reforestation believe it's important to operate on a human scale, a scale that becomes critically important as our cities become bigger and even more sprawled in the future.
