URBANISM - PLANNING AND DEVELOPING LIVING COMMUNITIESUrbanism was established by Corey Verwey in 2011 to combine the diligence of Project Management with Urban Design. The focus is on creating efficiency in planning and design processes, but more importantly to facilitate multidisciplinary outcomes to achieve the best outcomes for the places where we all live, work and play.It is a boutique consultancy to deliver integrated Urban Planning and Design solutions and we also offer Development Management and Project Management services for land development projects. Our approach has been tested in some iconic projects in South Africa, the Middle East and around Australia and our delivery of our own plans taught us a pragmatic approach to development.The practice delivers the following solutions to the property development industry:•Planning Needs, Project Feasibility and Due Diligence Investigations •Master Planning, Development Strategies and Business Planning•Study Management of Multi-Disciplinary Urban Studies•Preparation and Review of Strategic Planning Instruments•Preparation of Structure Plans and Local Area Plans•Urban Design and preparation of Design Guidelines•Preparation of Development Applications •Preparation of Subdivision Applications•Design Management•Project Management (full scope of services) of Subdivision Works Urbanism completed several urban regeneration strategies for urban activity centres. From these projects, we were able to assist local governments with implementation strategies and provided advice to unlock strategic sites and stimulate catalytic redevelopment of these centres. Our strategic involvement in complex projects are therefore rewarded with the fruit associated with implementation to ensure that our approach remains realistic and relevant to the projects we manage.
