As a starting organisation, we work in close cooperation with DHV-Group on a project regarding Olympic Real Estate and urban innovations. This task forms part of a graduation thesis at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, School of Management, Economics and Law, Department of Real Estate Studies (RICS-accredited). Hosting Olympic Summer Games requires a lot of purpose-built real estate, we will provide insight in how this affects the quality of the built environment. Major cities are the place where people innovate. Urban developments are driven by regional property markets and international travel. Vast international events like the Olympic Games contributes to urban transformation. The difference between cities can be described as Urban DNA. Cities are platforms for exchange. The determining factors entrepreneurship, knowledge and capital are largely available. Local authorities must know which precautions they could take to boost the urban innovation and create a better liveability. UrbanNovations offers an overview of the phenomenon Innovation in the urban environment and how to develop a toward local development policy.
