The mission of Urbicus LLC is to help others navigate the complex apparatus of government to improve the quality of life in communities. It has two primary functions: 1) PUBLIC POLICY: to provide technical assistance on public policy matters germane to local government which include but are not limited to education, criminal justice, economic and community development, and tax reform and 2) COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: to conduct trainings to help private citizens navigate and utilize government bureaucracies in order to improve neighborhood conditions and become competent advocates. The trainings include a comprehensive review of the organization of local government, budgetary and political processes, public policy, and instruction on how to run for public office.
