Urbino, Inc. was founded in order to facilitate the development of an integrated therapeutic community. This will be achieved incrementally by forming relationships and partnerships with established community services and private businesses. These organizations will provide housing, meals, mental health care, social services, medical services, and academic and vocational training. Urbino, Inc. will organize and direct these services into a single model of integrated care.Our ultimate purpose is to facilitate the recovery and reintegration of thousands of people who suffer from severe and persistent mental illnesses. This will benefit the consumers of our services as well as individuals, families, communities, businesses and government by reducing homelessness, dependency, exploitation, crime, vagrancy, police involvement, hospitalizations, and institutionalizations.
