URG Australasia, with its headquarters in Melbourne, Australia was formed in July 2009 to incorporate the group's many business sectors, including Multimodal Logistics, URG Asia Minerals, Arfoods Group, and URG Water Treatment Solution. The origins of URG stem from long and successfully transport & logistics background thru Ubaida Transport Group formed in 2004. Known for its outstanding customer service, it was receiving many inquiries from its clients and referrals for the sourcing of commodities from around the globe.The company founder Addnan Hassoun decided to open a trading arm and group the company's activities under one new powerful corporate entity known as URG Australasia.URG Asia Corporation is a newly established subsidiary business of URG Australasia which is a duly recognized corporation under the Philippine Laws. Its corporate headquarters is in the heart of Metropolitan Manila and business district of Greenhills, San Juan City at Suite 3016 Swire Elan Suites 49, Annapolis St., Greenhills.
