YAMon (aka for `Yet Another Monitor`) is a script for routers that have been flashed to run DD-WRT, OpenWRT, LEDE, AsusWRT, Merlin, etc. The script 1. identifies every device connecting to the router2. records downloads and uploads for each device3. rolls-up that usage into arbitrary logical groups (e.g., by family member, roommate, visitor or by device function, etc.)4. tallies the totals by hour, day, and ISP billing interval, and5. presents the results in comprehensive web-based reportsIn short, YAMon answers the questions what devices are connected to a router and how much data are they consuming, when. More fundamentally, it allows users to monitor total usage relative to their ISP's bandwidth cap. YAMon is currently available as a free download from http://usage-monitoring.com but a paid subscription plan is in the works.
