USGBC Maryland's mission is to advocate and educate for sustainable buildings and communities across the state. We transform buildings and places to create healthy, prosperous and sustainable communities through education, advocacy and action. Maryland is a leader for green building in the U.S., having been included in the Top 10 States for LEED list every year since 2011.USGBC Maryland works toward its mission by hosting green building tours, education and networking events; helping our members stay informed on green building news and developments; and organizing community initiatives such as the Connect the Dots Green Schools Challenge, Green Apple Day of Service with Garrett Heights Elementary/Middle School in Baltimore and the Wintergreen Leadership Awards.
