UT Austin's Defense Research Advancement (DRA) office is a dedicated team through the Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors. Acting as a liaison, we engage with campus researchers and the Department of Defense (DoD) to solve complex challenges, advance scientific discovery, and train relevant workforce. UT Austin and the DRA partner with Army Futures Command (AFC) and more recently, with the US Space Force. Additionally, the team has an overall understanding of DoD S&T priorities across services, regularly engaging with Army, Navy, Air Force, US Space Force, SOCOM, OSD, DARPA and other agencies. We are focused on leveraging technical expertise to represent UT Austin's commitment to the DoD.
