Utah leads the nation in financial and economic literacy education. This is not by coincidence, it is due to the collaborative effort of private companies, legislative representation, educators who see the importance of the course and concepts taught, and policy implemented by all. Iteration upon iteration has caused for improvement within the course as well as the identified outcomes. Utah sits atop the nation in those taught financial literacy, and we seek to improve still. Financial Literacy outcomes will resemble many financial practices like starting with a plan, a small contribution, realizing the delayed gratification, and consistent investment will yield wealthy outcomes when moving into future decisions. I am proud to see Utah as a leader of the nation in Financial and Economic Literacy. I am eager to see the behavior of our students change in connection to finances. I am humbled by the educators and their dedication to our students.
