uTalk.com Details
Founded in 1991 by entrepreneurs Dick Howeson and Andrew Ashe, uTalk is driven by a passion for enjoying adventures in languages anywhere in the world. uTalk has been making language learning fun, simple, fast and effective for over 25 years. More than 30 million users globally have used uTalk to gain the language confidence they need to break down barriers and build friendships. uTalk is a language learning application which provides 150+ languages from Hawaiian to Zulu for people to learn by offering 60+ topics and five increasingly challenging games covering different learning styles. And, as you might be able to tell, we are obsessed with languages - mainstream, minority or endangered languages, we love them all. Even better, you don’t have to be an English speaker to use uTalk – it works for speakers of more than 100 languages. So you can be a Spanish speaker who wants to learn Swahili or a Filipino speaker learning French – there are over 20,000 language learning combinations. What makes us stand out from the crowd? We provide you with keywords covering a range of topics so you can start learning what you need when you need it. You’ll practise pronunciation and understanding by listening to and repeating words recorded by our voice artists. Speak, listen and learn from day one. It’s perfect for beginners! We work with consumers, companies and colleges as well as in partnership with major businesses such as Emirates Airline, Turkish Airlines, British Council, Avara Foods, Tui and EasyJet. uTalk is proud to have founded the uTalk Language Games (formerly the Junior Language Challenge) which help students to learn languages.
