Prior Learning Assessment is an internationally recognised system, which is used at UTech, Jamaica to assess mature applicants who wish to pursue university level education, but who lack the minimum requirements to matriculate into some undergraduate and graduate courses of study. The system also provides the opportunity for students enrolled in undergraduate courses of study to accelerate through their programmes without having to pursue selected modules for which they have already mastered the competencies.
