The "Utrecht Technical Students Association (Dutch: Utrechtse Technische Vereniging)" (U.T.V.) is a study related student association with a long history. Founded in 1913 by students at the Intermediate Technical School (Technical College and later when the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht) for students. For over 100 years, the U.T.V. guides the students in the construction industry and is now institute association of the Institute Built Environment at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. The U.T.V. keep themselves busy with study and non-study-related activities. Including: - Supporting the student during their studies, finding internships, through among other internships markets and network days. - Assisting students with study-related activities. As an Introduction Camp, Concrete Canoe Race, trips, open days and training committees. - The provision of sports and cultural opportunities for students during their studies, through participation in the Batavierenrace, a ski, sailing weekend, football, canal trips, etc. - The realization of relaxation for the students during their studies. They do this by organizing festivals, galas and receptions members. Beside it the U.T.V. café is open daily.
