UTS:ARCCIM is an innovative public health centre making a major contribution to the discipline of public health in the Faculty of Health at UTS via curriculum development and teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate), research and community/industry engagement. UTS:ARCCIM is the world-leading public health research centre focused upon critically investigating and analysing a broad range of consumption, practice and policy issues around, traditional, complementary and integrative health care in Australia and globally.Our mission statement:- To provide national and international leadership regarding critical and trans-disciplinary public health and health services research that contributes to our understanding of the safety, efficacy and cost-effectiveness of traditional, complementary and integrative medicine use and practice within health care systems.- To subject traditional, complementary and integrative medical practice and use to rigorous research methods and critical perspectives in order to provide a broad evidence-base for patient care and health policy.- To produce, disseminate and implement research findings and interventions around traditional, complementary and integrative medicine that are impactful and that help inform best world practice and policy for stakeholders involved in community health as well as health service delivery and management.To increase the depth and breadth of research capacity in relation to critical trans-disciplinary traditional, complementary and integrative medicine enquiry amongst both researchers and practitioners.- To help guide and advance curriculum development and learning futures around the critical public health of traditional, complementary and integrative health care.
