Uyoga creates sustainable materials using mushroom technology. More specifically, we leverage the inherent growth processes of mushrooms to transform common crop waste, such as corn, cotton, and hemp waste, into manufactured products free of synthetic polymers. Using our mold-and-grow biofabrication processes, we are promoting ideals of permaculture, sustainability, and circular economy. We see great potential for our manufacturing to be carbon neutral and hope to redefine manufacturing in Virginia according to similar narratives.
