VAD was a manufacturer of measurement and monitoring equipment for DAB/DMB and DVB-T, DVB-H. With more than 350 installed units the company was market leader in the field of monitoring devices for digital audio broadcasting between 2003 and 2010. In a second business area VAD offered development of analog RF technology as a service mainly to customers in Germany. VAD Video-Audio-Design GmbH went into insolvency in July 2010 and is out of business since August 2010. The DAB business as well as the brand VAD have been acquired by the newly founded VDL Deutschland GmbH that is in operation since September 2010 at the same location as VAD Video-Audio-Design GmbH.
