The Valley of the Kings business model is aimed at developing unique wilderness reserves into the most sought after private game reserves in Africa. To achieve a sustainable and successful business model, it is important to accommodate all contributing facets of conservation into one workable plan. This means that our reserves need to derive income from several sources of potential revenue, which includes luxury eco-safaris, exclusive trophy hunting opportunities, exotic breeding programs of certain animal species and the marketing of the reserve as an elite destination for corporate getaways to local South African businesses.Two such projects are successfully owned and managed by the Valley of the Kings, one in Zeerust known as Valley of the Kings Great Marico (Lion Lodge) and the second in Thabazimbi known as Valley of the Kings Thaba Motswere (Rock Lodge), both reserves stocked with a wide variety of animals ranging from most plains game species such as Impala, Tsetsebe, Blesbuck, Kudu, Waterbuck, Red Hartebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Gemsbuck, Zebra, Giraffe and many more, to the Big 5 - Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant.On the Valley of the Kings Thaba Motswere reserve, we also own and run exotic game breeding operations with breeding programmes in White Lion, disease free Cape Buffalo, Roan Antelope, Sable and Black Impala.
