We have begun with two primary beliefs. The first is the belief that imbibing Values is critical for Humanity. The strength of human race lies in the clear conscience and strong character of its members. While it is never too late to pick up a good habit or a value, yet it is well accepted that all of us develop our core Value system in the formative years as a child. Hence, while Values are important for everyone, it becomes even more critical for children so that we create a better society. The second belief is that people can be inspired to change, if there is a reason for them to do that. Towards this, we are aggregating inspirational content on Values at one place. This is to help adults as well as children exercise the choice to read and engage on Values. They may also choose to adopt these to improve their own lives and those of others. Parents and teachers can use this site as a resource tool to engage with their children and students. Everyone takes their own responsibility for change, we only provide enabling support by sharing the reasons to feel inspired! The content on valuesindia.org does not belong to us. It has been aggregated from contributions of hundreds of individuals. We also invite you to contribute or recommend content. It may be a personal story to share, a video that you like, a local hero that you would like to recommend, a poem, a song or anything that inspired you. We invite you to share your inspiration with us so that we can enable its sharing such that others can feel inspired by it. We are an NGO that is focused on cultivating universal human values amongst children and youth. We follow a religion neutral approach (i.e. do not have any religious leaning) and adopt multimedia and other unconventional ways to reach out to young audience. Though based in Chennai, ValuesIndia operates across the country through its extensive network.
